About Children's Services, Inc.
Children’s Services, Inc. operates the Parris Home For Children, a residential home for abused and neglected children that provides a safe, secure and nurturing environment where they can develop healthy and safe lifestyles that carry them into adulthood. Children’s Services, Inc. began providing emergency shelter home services in 1974.
In 1988, the home was named in honor of Mrs. Louise “Bee” Parris who served as agency director for twenty seven years. It is a home that offers unconditional love and acceptance to boys ages six to twenty one. It is one of the few residential homes in the State that accepts children with destructive behaviors. It is the only home of it’s kind in Calhoun County.
The goal of the home is to prove to every child who enters the door that he is worthy of love and respect and that he can go to sleep each night without fear of being abused or neglected. Without safety, stability, and nurturing, the children cannot begin to recover from the trauma of abuse and neglect.
For Children’s Services, Inc. to continue providing the love, safety, and security for the victims of child abuse and neglect, we must have continued financial support from the community. We believe the children we serve at the Parris Home are an important part of our future. We hope that you will join with us in holding hands with our future.
